PeKacid is a unique, patented, single crystalline water-soluble phosphoric acid in dry form. It does not contain nitrogen, sodium or chlorine.
It combines the advantages and effectiveness of phosphoric acid with the convenience and safety of solid crystalline fertilizer. The use of PeKacid (“acid in a bag”) replaces the conventional application of technical and agrophosphoric acid, as a result of which the fertilization process is easier, safer and more efficient. Due to its acidic nature, PeKacid has an anti-clogging effect and improves nutrient uptake. ICL Specialty Fertilizers uses PeKacid technology in many of its water-soluble fertigation formulas.
The benefits of PeKacid technology:
- Reduces the pH of hard water when applied directly to water
- Prevents clogging in irrigation / fertigation systems, which in turn allows even distribution of water and fertilizers in the field
- Cleans clogged drippers by dissolving sludge formed during irrigation / fertigation
- The oxidation effect reduces P-fixation in the rhizosphere and supports the uptake of (micro) elements in alkaline soils (pH> 7)
